HAIRMATE designs and manufactures moulds to produce the next generation of aircraft seating.

Based on the results of the HAIRD project, HAIRMATE will manufacture and test the seating developed that showcases many advantages: it is healthier, lighter, cost-effective and recyclable.

The seat moulds

The moulds to manufacture the structural parts and the cushion will be entirely created during the project considering the composite manufacturing techniques of Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC), Wet Compression Moulding (WCM) and Prepreg Compression Moulding (PCM) co-moulded with SMC.
